For the Paragon and Distinguished Advisor Awards, must the required years of service be consecutive?

Jennifer Stanford -

No. If an advisor has a total of at least four years of service, they should be nominated for the Distinguished Advisor Award even if they left the chapter for a period of time and later resumed the advisor role.

If an advisor has less than four years of service and has not previously received an international* Advisor Award, they should be nominated for the Paragon Award for New Advisors.

*Hallmark Awards are presented on both the Regional and International Levels of Phi Theta Kappa. Regional Awards are presented at Regional Conventions, and International Awards are presented during PTK Catalyst. Chapters enter both Regional and International Competitions with Hallmark Awards submissions.
